Crafting Cafe May Challenge - Creatures

The theme this month at the Crafting Cafe is "Creatures", and the sponsor is the lovely Oak Pond Creations.  I've made an easel card using their cute Fancy Fish image, along with a few extras in the background!  I hope you like it!

What I used:
Papers: DCWV Photo stack (water, grass and sand prints)
Image: Oak Pond Creations Fancy Fish digi stamp
Embellishments: Craft Planet "Deep Sea" fun stickers, Italic peel-off alphabet, brads
Tools: Purple cows large wavy line trimmer blade, Papermania fluid metallic brush markers

Crafting notes:
  • The fish image is printed onto plain vellum and then coloured with metallic markers, which gives an opaque finish even on vellum.
  • The seaweed is cut from scraps of grass print paper from a DCWV photo stack.  I've used the grass print sideways, to get a stripy finish similar to the light patterns you get underwater.  The seaweed handily covers the adhesive for the vellum :-)
  • The eyes are coloured on the reverse of the vellum, to make them distinct from the other silver coloured parts of the fish.
